Limits & important notes
- Data retention is enforced on a rolling basis per UTC day. Data older than your plan's retention window may be pruned within 24 hours of expiry. Retention extensions are available as paid add-ons at $5 / additional 30 days / space.
- Events count each individual log line, metric data point, or trace span ingested. Overage on Free tier causes ingestion to be throttled (soft cap); data is not deleted. Pro overages are billed at $1 per additional 10M events.
- Pro includes 10 users per space. Additional users are billed at $9 / user / month. A "user" is any unique identity that authenticates to the Rectifyr dashboard within a billing period.
- SLA applies to the Rectifyr API ingestion endpoint and dashboard. Scheduled maintenance windows (announced ≥ 48 h in advance) are excluded from SLA calculations. Free and Pro tiers are provided on a best-efforts basis without a formal SLA. Service credits are issued for Enterprise SLA breaches per the Enterprise Agreement.
- Ingress / egress: Free plan is limited to 10 GB ingress / month (soft cap). Pro: 100 GB ingress / month included; $0.10 / GB thereafter. Enterprise: negotiated limits with volume discounts.
- All plans include TLS-encrypted transport in transit and AES-256 at rest. Pro and Enterprise customers can request a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) to support their own GDPR compliance needs — contact sales@rectifyr.io to get started.
Frequently asked questions
Can I self-host Rectifyr?
Yes! The core sobs engine is open-source (MIT). You can run the full stack with Docker Compose or Kubernetes. Rectifyr adds hosted infrastructure, AI features, and managed updates on top.
What counts as a "space"?
A space is an isolated observability namespace — typically one application or one team. Each space has its own dashboards, alerts, data retention, and access controls.
How does the AI setup work?
Rectifyr exposes an MCP server. Any MCP-compatible AI assistant (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Openclaw, Cursor, etc.) can call Rectifyr to scaffold SDK configuration, query traces in natural language, or generate runbooks — all within your existing workflow. Local-model setups with Ollama and LM Studio are also supported.
